I'm a bit surprised to see this product offered by Amazon. I have this exact product that I got from Kaiser Permanente Hearing Center in California. There are a dozen different ear fittings/molds that deliver different sound, two styles of which are off the shelf, 5-10 styles which must be custom molded. The audio adjustments are very different for each one of these different styles, and all these have different fitting characteristics -- how they stay in the ear and how comfortable they are. Even between the two non-custom (open) styles, the open dome and the tulip dome, they have different audio and fit characteristics.
Then comes the programming. The microSavia Art instrument has tens of features, hundreds of settings, and thousands of combinations of these settings. I've been visiting the audiologist for a year and a half and about 30 visits and they still don't have it adjusted properly.
You really think you can get it adjusted properly with the default open dome and one-shot setup? If my experience is any indicator, you're fooling yourself. Admittedly my course is/was excessive; it should take more like 6 months and 5-10 visits for fine-tuning.
If you get this from Amazon, plan on spending another $500-$1000 on audiologist visits to get it adjusted. Find a good audiologist in your area who knows and can service the microSavia Art. Don't let any hack work on these; they're too complicated.
